ABBTECH Federal Sales Development Representative Sterling, VA DESCRIPTION The candidate shall provide business development support and contract execution to specific accounts/opportunities in the Federal Sector, and other markets as needed.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting our competitive position, conveying our capabilities to key customers and being the expert on IT services or other federal agency/domain IT services market trends.
This position will be based in our Sterling, VA, office but will meet with partners and clients outside our facilities as needed.
The successful candidate will be the lead for the federal efforts and be responsible for activities that lead to revenue generation in accordance with organizational target goals.
Successful candidates must have a proven track record developing relationships with key customers and closing new business that involves delivering solutions to Federal clients.
Key oversight responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Strategic Planning, business capture and proposal management and support Campaign and Account Planning Pipeline Development This position will be responsible for the direct quality of account coverage and ensure compliance with company metrics and ABBTECH business development process to maximize win and achievement of revenue goals.
This position will ensure efficient and results-oriented support to the line from early opportunity identification through revenue generation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Leadership & Initiative .
Must take the initiative in creating contacts and cultivating valuable client relationships which yield positive results specific domain within the federal IT, engineering, and consulting professional services contracting industry.
Pipeline Integrity Responsible for currency and accuracy of data maintained in sales tool to support corporate reporting, forecasting as well as prioritization of resources.
Strategy and Account Plans Develop agency Account Plans, ensuring the alignment of those Account Plans with the division’s /company’s strategic plans.
In concert with the senior leadership team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Required and Preferred Skills: The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of increasing sales and profitability within small/large organizations.
Range of experience should include winning contract vehicles and follow through on tasks of various sizes.
Strategic planning experience preferred.
Candidate must have a solid understanding of the business acquisition process and applications in the IT services, with relationships in the local federal markets.
Candidate must have intimate knowledge of the Government marketplace and be able to identify, qualify and close both strategic accounts and tactical opportunities through their relationships.
Candidate should have extensive department level and account management experience within Information Technology Services.
A proven record for selling complex services and solutions at senior levels of Fortune 500 companies and/or the Federal Government.
A demonstrated record of success in a solutions-oriented, professional services environment.
Strong influencing skills to work with partners and operations staff to offer the right resources and solutions to the client.
The ability to make decisions, such as prioritizing relationships to develop, negotiating with clients (external and internal), and overcoming obstacles with minimal supervision; the ability to make independent decisions when appropriate and necessary.
This position involves responding to clients’ needs and requires the flexibility to work extended hours when required.
Travel also may be required.
Education and Years of Experience: Requires BS/BA degree, marketing, business management, or other technical discipline.
Requires minimum 3 years experience of technical experience and/or marketing/BD and sales of professional services in the government contracting industry.
