You will be responsible for developing and maintaining productive working relationships with assigned Industrial/Alternative Energy accounts, at all levels of their organizations.This position reports toArea Sales ManagerYour responsibilities Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin; motivate contractors toprefer ABB over the competitionOwnership of the distributor accounts; responsible for maintaining relationships at all levels of organization; developing and monitoring growth plans; marketing programs; trainingPlan and Implement sales strategies to grow Distributor stock and small project businessGenerate cross-selling leads and make it easier to do business with Industrial SolutionsConduct training presentations to create preference for ABBProvide training, joint sales calls and applications support.

Understand Trade Area and identify distribution targets for conversionIntroduce new products to existing customer base and identify target customersMeet or exceed assigned volume and margin measurementsUnderstand market pricing and keep distributors competitive and utilize to successfully close project construction jobsProvide market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadershipTrack sales leads, wins and losses in CRM system; perform analysis on hit-rate dataCreate customer marketing programs (NPI launch, training) to promote ABB products and servicesMine construction data (Dodge, bid board) to identify key trends in marketplace and new product needsIdentify new customers and create customer profiles to understand ABB’s positionParticipate in industry and local construction organizations to build relationships Your background Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, account management, operations, marketing or field engineeringDemonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and productsStrong interpersonal, leadership skills and effective coordination and influencing skills; Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skillsExperience working with distributors, electrical contractors and/or industrial end usersStrong technical application, take-off, and proposal development skillsCustomer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs with knowledge of customer financial drivers / needsAbility to utilize analytical software and sales toolsAbility to maintain a valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up 50% locally and regionally within the assigned territoryCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US BenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceMedical insuranceWellbeing programMore about usABB’s Electrification Global Markets organization is responsible for the go-to-market strategy in 100 countries where the Electrification Business Area operates.
