DUTIES INCLUDE: Help lead the development and implementation of the data modernization leadership and management curriculum staring with the 2021 PH-TIPP class to ensure efficient program functioning and maintiain a high-quality education experince.
Includes: Work with the Education and Training Services Branch and stakeholders to develop and implement a curriculum based on the existing PH-TIPP and PMR/F curriculua.
Lead the facilitation of the 2-hr group learner check-ins each month for one of the two PH-TIPP cohorts Develop, disseminate, and respond to learner questions about educational activities in an asynchronous manner to maintain an interactive educational environment between group check in sessions (e.g.
email, messengers, CDC TRAIN posts) Review and provide feedback on learner-submitted work products throughout the training period Contibute to the creation of the speaker and topic list for Preventive Medicine Grand Rounds and orientation sessions Help the PMR/F Director, Program Coordinator, and Educator with program administration and management to ensure efficient program operations.
Includes assistance with: Tracking learner deliverables and workproducts Ensuring all required deliverables are completed on-time and to the requisite quality Regularly reviewing the share drive structure and content Maintenance of the PH-TIPP Learner Handbook with updates to the PMR/F Learner Handbook as necessary Certification of graduates to sit for the ABPM exam Responding to training verification requests Participating in all PMR/F advisory committee meetings Coordinating a Board Review Course for those taking ABPM exam Development, review, and implementation of policies Development, review, and dissemination of an annual program evaluation for PH-TIPP Work with PMR/F staff to support PH-TIPP in regard to selection of the subsequent year’s class and managing current learners.
Includes: Development and revision of the application requirements Review, interview, and selection of candidates Reference checks of candidates Assitance with logistics related to onboarding and graduation Addressing violations of the program’s, agency’s, or hosting agency’s policies regarding conduct and performance as they relate to the training program REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS: A current ABPM Board Certification in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
A completed Master in Public Health or equivalent coursework required, candidates with doctoral degrees preferred.
A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Eligible candidates for PMR/F must be physicians, veterinarians, or nurses focused on preventive medicine and public health.
All applicants must have at least 2 years of applied epidemiology experience beyond graduate studies REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of experience in training U.S.
physicians participating in Graduate Medical Education.
Ability to manage a range of complex projects and communications media.
Ability to use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and SharePoint and their graphical components to write, edit, and prepare information products for print or electronic distribution.
Ability to work effectively with PMR/F staff and stakeholders in a prompt and courteous manner.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability, ability to listen, and ability to work under deadlines.
CITIZENSHIP/CLEARANCE: Must pass a background check to obtain a common access card (CAC)
