Position Overview The Corporate Paralegal s a critical team member who will work directly with the Validity team, clients, counsel, and external service providers to manage and track all aspects of our legal finance investments.

The incumbent will report to the CFO working closely also with the General Counsel in assisting with deal structuring, deal closing, and with monitoring and tracking active investments.

Responsibilities include: Preparation and presentation of investment and pipeline progress reports for senior management and investors.

Detailed investment and cash flow tracking.

Assisting General Counsel with structuring of investment documents and closing of investments, including managing outside counsel.

Working with CFO in connection with annual audit and tax requirements, and monthly and quarterly close.

Assisting with regular funding of investments and other invoices.

The funding field in the US is a growing asset class, but quite competitive for the deals that need capital.

These duties are intended to help optimize the investment process, to maintain Validity’s competitive advantage of speed and efficiency.

A person in this key role should be able to help Validity maintain and build on its leading role in the market, and enhance its brand through value creation for our clients.

The position has opportunities for growth as the company continues to expand rapidly.

The Ideal Candidate: 1 year experience (or equivalent) as a corporate paralegal at a law firm or asset management firm.

Proven ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.

Exceptional organizational skills.

Strong Office.com, especially Excel.

Self-starter able to excel in a fast-paced start-up environment where employees are encouraged and expected to wear many different hats.

Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and ability to work well with teams.
