ASC also operates the rental & retail stores of Four Mountain Sports and the Award-winning Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen Snowmass.Job DescriptionThe CDL Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely operating an Aspen Skiing Co.
shuttle bus to transport employees and guests between locations throughout the four-mountains and surrounding area.Essential Job FunctionsSafely drive the shuttle over specified routes or to specific destinations in a timely manner while adhering to the posted schedule and local traffic regulationsGreet and engage employees and guests offering information about the resort including snow conditions, grooming reports, trail maps and other activitiesMaintain the shuttle by sweeping floors, removing snow, cleaning windows, checking/refilling fluids, washing bus and emptying trashNotify supervisor of any mechanical problemsMaintain daily ridership log and submit on a daily basisAssist guests with loading and unloading equipmentPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderValid CDL license with passenger endorsementExperience driving shuttles in winter driving conditionsExperience in the customer service industryGeneral knowledge of the resort and areaFluent in English (verbal and written)Prior experience driving a 14+ passenger shuttle preferredAdditional InformationSupervision Given and ReceivedSupervision given: This Position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision received: Works under direct supervision of Guest Services Manager.
Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.
Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.Work Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of timeRegularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
