From XR experiences to advertising and content technology, Verizon Media is an incubator of innovation and is revolutionizing the next generation of content creation in a 5G world.nn The Global Head of Sales & Account Management will lead our Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Account Management, Sales Operations and Sales Engineering teams, globally.

This is a key and highly visible commercial leadership role and part of the Media Platform executive leadership team.

You will be responsible for all revenue generation and retention for the Verizon Media Platform (VMP).

As a leader, this position will be charged with setting the sales strategy; ensuring delivery on our revenue plan and key revenue-related strategic objectives; and working across the broader Verizon Media Group and Verizon on crafting additional commercial and partnership opportunities.

nn nn Key responsibilities include: nn nn Protecting our existing sources of revenue, driving growth from current customers, and aggressively acquiring new customers with our current product set.

nn nn Prioritizing and driving international growth across product lines.

nn nn Extending our Sales reach through effective channel management and channel expansion across product categories.

nn nn Help craft and execute go-to-market strategies for emerging products and services.

nn nn Working closely with Marketing and Product Management on maximizing and streamlining our go-to-market through product-appropriate market segmentation, target identification and aggressive pipeline building and management.

nn nn Working closely with Customer Operations to maximize the customer experience across business touchpoints.

nn nn Working closely as part of the executive team on strategy development.

nn nn Building a high-performing organization through process and systems improvement, business intelligence, talent management and culture.

nn nn An excellent candidate will have a clear track record of meeting/exceeding sales team targets as leader of a growth-stage sales team, with deep experience in navigating complex sales cycles.

You must be a passionate, driven, hands-on leader, with a demonstrated ability to rapidly move from strategic to tactical and back to strategic with ease.

nn nn You will also be expected to :nn nn Quickly develop extensive knowledge of VMP offerings, target markets, value proposition, and corresponding competitive positioning.

nn nn Create transparent and effective relationships with customers and continue to set a high-standard for our customer-centric culture.

nn nn Develop creative sales plans and go-to-market strategies that increase attach rates and drive sales of high-margin products and services.

nn nn Play a critical role in the customer feedback loop across Sales, Marketing and Product.

nn nn Build and implement frameworks for effective account management.

nn nn Identify and deploy sales tools and systems to increase our utilization of data and enable nimble execution.

nn nn Work closely with Finance to develop and continually refine accurate quarterly and annual forecasts, utilizing sales metrics and historical data.

nn nn Engage personally in key opportunities, where necessary, to advance, negotiate, and close deals.

nn nn Lead and manage all aspects of sales operations to continuously support, measure and improve the sales organizations effectiveness.  nn nnWhat we’re looking for…nn nn 15+ years of relevant work experience, preferably within an enterprise software sales environment.

7-10+ years building and managing teams.

nn nn Experience in both direct sales and channel sales environments.

nn nn Experience designing sales organizations tailored to support a go-to-market and business strategy.

nn nn Experience in SaaS or PaaS sales.

nn nn Technology and digital knowledge, with an understanding of industry trends in streaming media, internet and application security and/or CDN.

nn nn Strong financial acumen and analytic capability to develop sales strategies and perform and speak to competitive analysis nn nn Strong sales strategist and the ability to translate customer requirements into Verizon Media Platform capabilities and services.

nn nn Demonstrable experience in achieving results in a complex, distributed organization nn nn Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and empathetically with diverse audiences, including key customers and decision makers.

nn nn Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to drive a team to a common mission within scope, schedule, and budget.

nn nn BA / BS degree preferred, or relevant work experience.  nn nn MBA a plus.
