Senior Business Development Representative

LAPS is looking for a talented and ambitious Business Development Representative to help drive exceptional service and profitable business!

As a Business Development Representative you will identify potential new clients and build client relationships, nurture, research, develop, and establish business relationships with prospective buyers of Security Guard and Patrol Services, write responses to requests for proposal and related activities, prepare and present sales presentations, and perform other functions related to identifying prospective business opportunities, determining the optimum exploitation methodology, and making the sale and grow existing client business, and attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. Interface with operations and other support staff to ensure business growth runs smoothly. As the BDR you will also assist other field office personnel with business development activities associated with local business opportunities.

Primary responsibilities include:

Experience with sales methodology, sales funnel management and sales nurturing.

Established contacts & relationships with consultants, potential customers & resellers.

Outstanding solution selling abilities & excellent interpersonal skills.

Prospecting for new clients through networking, in field visits, online and cold calling.

Sell new accounts in the branch to meet/exceed budgeted sales goals.

Add at least fifty new qualified prospects to database each month.

Meet with a minimum of ten prospects each week.

Generate a minimum of twenty five proposals each month.

Analyze the requirements for a formal Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests For Information (RFIs) and decide what information needs to be included in the proposal.

Qualify and add new prospects to our CRM database on a regular basis.

Once prospects are qualified, the BDR will lead account planning and generate proposals, pricing and presentations. Once contract is sold, the BDR will help to manage the transition process and maintain direct communication with the client for future rate increase discussions.

Close a minimum of one site and five patrol contracts per month.

Become proficient in all company database software including our CRM.

Year over year growth in revenue with residual income.

Develop proposals for all accounts while coordinating with headquarters as needed and meet all required deadlines.

Make initial and follow up calls to prospective customers for purpose of scheduling sales appointments; create marketing letters and other materials for prospective customers.

Attend self-generated sales appointments, educating potential customers on company’s services and maintain database of prospective customers recording contact history and future activities.

Plan and prepare video or other digital presentations for sales calls.

Help operations department with meeting company clients for updates, job walks, training or client concerns when necessary. ( after you complete the sale, there is a customer relationship officer who is in charge of this past initial on boarding)

Qualifications:

Proven and measurable track record of business to business sales, professional services or accomplishments that demonstrate a high potential for success in sales that can be measured. Familiarity with the local market of the specific geographical area. Ability to influence decision makers and build strategic relationships. Must have excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrable active listening and presentation skills. Comfort using professional online networking tools. Experience in the Private Security sales industry is a plus. Experience in commercial real estate management is a plus. Outside and B2B sales experience. Excellent phone skills. At least 3 years sales experience in the security marketplace or security industry. A hunter attitude while being professional. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven environment. Ability to lead by example and take on other tasks. Able to help and support team members when necessary. A “yes can-do attitude” while taking on assigned tasks is a must. Able to roll up your sleeves and dig into any problem large or small to solve efficiently.

Candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and pass a background screening which may include; criminal background, drug test, interviews, past employment verification and driving record check.

Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:

A college degree (Associate’s/Bachelor’s or greater) is preferred although equivalent experience will be considered if you are currently successful as a Business Development Professional in the Private Security industry and would like a much better opportunity, then we want to talk to you!
