As a Nonprofit Strategist within our Institutional Asset Management organization, you may be based in Los Angeles, Seattle, or San Diego. Would also consider Houston, Denver or Phoenix.

In the role of a Nonprofit Strategist, you will need to have nonprofit strategy experience. This would include investments, philanthropic planning and strong client presentation experience.

• Responsible for providing strategic guidance to market teams (market
directors, business development officers, and investment advisors) and
their nonprofit clients
• Uses knowledge of nonprofit sector and applicability of PNC solutions
(investments, asset servicing, planned giving, and sub-accounting) to
optimize nonprofit client experience
• Understanding of banking services to identify and refer nonprofit clients to
corporate and institutional banking partners
• Recommends innovative solutions, solution enhancements, or strategic
partnerships to deliver a holistic solution to nonprofit clients
• Partner with markets and key stakeholders including sales, marketing,
operations, risk, and services teams to grow the nonprofit asset
management business in a responsible way
• Serve as a sector specialist in support of responding to requests for
proposals (RFPs) from nonprofit organizations
• Lead and support new client acquisition activities
• Promote PNC’s nonprofit solutions business by participating in public
speaking opportunities, creating or providing editorial support for thought
leadership, and providing 1:1 education to nonprofit clients

Job Description

  • Provides subject matter expertise for creating awareness, identification and sales of Institutional Asset Management’s capabilities with clients and prospects within the assigned regions. Acts as an extension of the product team.
  • Provides education of capabilities to internal Institutional Asset Management teams and business partners on most complex products. Determines product suitability for prospects and provides prospecting support. Leads the product discussion from introductory/discovery phase through entire sales cycle. May provide guidance to team members.
  • Develops and maintains a pipeline of prospects, prioritizes and creates/delivers sales presentations in collaboration with other business partners. Serves as the internal wholesaler, providing technical sales and service support to teams by furnishing customized solutions on most complex products.
  • Partners directly with internal Institutional Asset Management team regarding client and prospect financial needs. Ensures that opportunities are current and accurate in collaboration with other business partners.
  • Provides strategic direction, thought leadership, idea creation and collaboration in the evolution of most complex products.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.

COMPENSATION

Base Salary: $95,000 to $300,150

Where a person is paid in the compensation range is aligned to their experience and skills. Placement within the compensation range is based on the specific role and the following factors:

  • Lower in range – Building skills and experience in the job 
  • Within the range – Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role 
  • Higher in range – Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
  • Compensation Range may vary based on Geographic Location

INCENTIVE

Role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and individual performance.e.
