Sales Associate or Showroom Assistant

is a leading specialty retailer that focuses exclusively on home dining and entertaining.

Depending on level of experience the position will be for: a sales associate; or a showroom assistant.

Position is multi-faceted; primary responsibilities would include:
Sales: in person, over the phone, via email and via video calls
Maintaining and generating relationships with clients
Creating and monitoring customer orders and purchase orders with vendors
Working closely with and assisting other members of the TableArt team
Daily maintenance of showroom
Processing transactions at point of sale

Other responsibilities as assigned from time to time
Computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, required.

Prior retail experience, particularly with luxury goods, is very important; although, for showroom assistant position, we are willing to consider bright and motivated individuals without prior retail experience, particularly individuals with an interior design background.

Successful candidate must be dedicated, a quick learner, responsible, professional and an outstanding multi-tasker; must also have excellent computer, customer service and organizational skills.

Communication skills, both oral and written, are extremely important.

Generous compensation.

For sales associate position, compensation will include commissions (after an initial training period of approximately 90 days).

For either position, compensation will include: employer-paid health care benefits, including vision and dental after a waiting period.; and employer-sponsored 401(k) plan after a waiting period.

Requires working Tuesday through Saturday (and Sundays and Mondays during the holiday season).
