Outside Sales Representative (West)

The Outside Sales Representative (Western Region) develops new opportunities and interacts with existing key corporate customers to increase sales in an assigned Western US territory.

The primary focus of this position will be to support the local service center facility.

The expectation is that the sales representative will grow share-of-wallet at existing customers and market share in the assigned territory.

Also works closely with the technical sales product groups and customer service senior staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain broad knowledge of clients, products and services Document customer interactions and transactions Answer customer inquiries in a professional manner Develop and maintain professional and productive business relationships with customers that result in a clear definition and understanding of their service requirements and expectations Build sustainable relationships and trust with key corporate customer accounts through open and interactive communication Go the extra mile to engage customers, adapt and respond to different types of customer requirements or requests Work with ABD group on project specific follow up sales opportunities Work with technical product groups on quote follow up for sales opportunities Work with our inside corporate salesman when assistance is needed with a customer Other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
Previous experience in; promoting to commercial architects, strong product knowledge in storefront, window wall, curtain wall and glass products, glazing system application and ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications, and building integration knowledge Previous sales experience and college degree preferred Strong professional presence with the ability and confidence to professionally present to large groups, specifically architects and project teams Estimated Travel 25-50% (Travel is currently restricted due to Covid) AutoCAD a plus Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once Critical thinking and problem-solving are imperative skills for success Collaborative, team-oriented personality with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships
