Industrial Sales Representative

Caplugs is looking to hire energetic and dedicated employees to be a part of our expanding team We currently have openings within our Sales Department for an Industrial Sales Representative covering Northern California and Nevada.

The highly successful Industrial Sales Representative is self-directed and well-organized; effectively prioritizing opportunities and resources including working collaboratively with the Sales Engineer, Regional Sales Manager and other Industrial Sales Representatives.

Responsible for management/growth of existing customers and development of new opportunities to support the territory and company growth objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Must be able to travel throughout the entire territory.

It is estimated that this position will require approximately 50% overnight travel to meet performance expectations.

· Grow company revenues through direct sales to the customers and prospects of the territory.

· Timely and effective communications, both verbal and written is fundamental.

These communications will range from the Company’s capabilities, products, pricing, lead-times, credit terms and policies to current or prospective customers; customers’ applications, needs, expectations and/or desired outcomes to the Sales Engineer and Regional Sales Manager.

· Understanding of the Company’s core competencies and market strategies, then applying that understanding when prospecting customers’ needs.

· Utilization of a combination of hunting and farming sales strategies combined with a genuine commitment to excellent customer service that result in lasting customer relationships.

· Support development of annual forecast and sales goals/objectives as it pertains to the territory with the Regional Sales Manager.

· Provide continuous customer feedback to Regional Sales Manager and Product Manager to assure alignment of marketing plans and goals.

· Reading, analyzing, and interpreting general and industry specific business periodicals, journals and engineering drawings; learning and being conversant in manufacturing processes and industry best practices plus applicable government regulations.

· A working proficiency of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.

A.) from Four‑year College or University is preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of outside solution-oriented sales experience to OEMs is required ; experience selling to OEMs of industrial products is preferred .

Experience selling rubber, polymer and/or vinyl products to OEMs would be helpful experience.

Successfully managing a multi-state territory with over $3 million in sales is required.
