We are a fast paced clothing company focusing on contemporary, junior and kid clothing. We specialize in made to order fast fashion based manufacturing and work with factories in China, India and the USA. Our warehouse and corporate headquarters is located in Dallas TX, production and sampling is done from our office located in India and we have both a New York and an LA showroom. Currently we sell to all the major discounters Specialty stores and Department stores.
Position Description:
We Currently seeking to hire a showroom & sales assistant for our Downtown LA showroom located in the New Mart building. Candidates should be organized and detail oriented. The showroom assistant is the heart of the showroom. This person will keep a detailed log of what samples have been sent out & what samples have been received from the factory and buyers. They will keep track of supplies and order new supplies as needed. You will be responsible to make sure all samples are steamed and kept in order for the sales team. You will report directly to the sales executive. Write orders and attend sales meetings. Help create projects based off of trends.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or some college preferred
- Experienced Assistant
- Must be proficient in Microsoft word & excel
- Organized and Detail oriented
- SELF SUFICIENT
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Well presented, has a good taste of fashion
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Must have a willing can do/team work centered attitude
- Able to multi-task and think outside of the box
- Math skills
- Creative & a passion for the industry
- TEAM player

Main Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Hanging new samples as needed
- Maintain and manage showroom premises neat and clean
- Order supplies as needed
- Assist in preparation for the sales appointments and market week
- Open and long packages/samples as they are received
- Log samples that are being sent to buyers & following up on samples until they are returned
- Steam new samples and room and hang samples
- Work with our development team in India to follow up and track pending samples
- Take pictures of new samples and adding them to the LA server
- Help with sample sells
- ship packages as needed
- Help set up the showroom décor for April & Oct market
- Help with give-a-way bags for April & Oct market
- Run miscellaneous errands and deliver samples to local clients and accounts as needed
- Assist with any special projects as needed
- Write up sales orders using excel
