Bottega Louie is presently hiring for the position of Baker / Viennoiserie at our pastry kitchen in Downtown, Los Angeles. In this role, a qualified applicant will be responsible for:


Mixing, preparing and baking bread and pastries
Crafting and creating new and exciting baked goods
Ensuring all baked goods are completed on time for opening
Ability to read and follow recipes
Good organizational skills
Must be able to adhere to health and safety regulations
Ability to meet strict deadlines.


A preferred two(2) years of experience in high volume production baking similar position

Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume production baking

Ability to understand baker’s math and calculate recipe conversions

Advanced knowledge and technique of morning pastries with regards to production,handling, shaping, baking

Ability to measure ingredients in metric units

Ability to consistently decorate finished products

Ability to work unsupervised with no quality decline

Possesses a sense of urgency and the ability to meet tight deadlines

Ability to work quickly, efficiently, accurately

Ability to stand, climb, stoop, push and crouch for extended periods of time as required

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Works well with others, communicating clearly, kindly, and professionally

5 days a week availability (including weekends)

Valid food handler’s card
