Overview
Alfalfa is looking for line cooks that take pride in delivering deliciousness in every item that leaves their kitchen. Our line cooks are responsible for the final product that reaches the customer, so we are looking for individuals that are passionate about creating happiness through their food. All of our employees are encouraged to think creatively about ways to improve the menu and the quality of the food. Line cooks must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment and work well with their peers.

Los cocineros de l nea deben poder trabajar en un ambiente r pido y trabajar bien con sus compa eros.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
  • Must be able to memorize the menu and execute consistently, with attention to detail.
  • Maintaining an organized line with the ability to track orders coming from the POS machine.
  • Having great knife skills and the ability to process high volumes of raw ingredients with consistency and accuracy.
  • The proper and careful use of all kitchen equipment such as stove, oven, fryer, etc..
  • Taking inventory of all prepared foods before and after every shift, then communicating with the back of house manager.
  • Carrying an up to date California Food Handler Card from an ANSI-accredited food handler program.
  • Following all local, state, federal, and company policies in regards to COVID-19 safety.
  • Adherence to all established health, sanitation, and food & work safety practices.
  • Physical Requirements- This position will require you to be standing for the duration of your shift, withholding all state mandated break/labor requirements. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.

  • Ser capaz de memorizar el men y ejecutarlo perfectamente, con atenci n a los detalles.
  • Mantener una l nea organizada con la capacidad de operar a velocidades r pidas.
  • Tener habilidades con el cuchillo y la capacidad de procesar grandes vol menes de ingredientes crudos con consistencia y precisi n.
  • El uso adecuado y cuidadoso de todo el equipo de cocina como estufa, horno, freidora, etc.
  • Contar el inventario de la cocina y ayudar al Manager con otras actividades.
  • Seguir todos los procedimientos de salud y seguridad establecidos por la administraci n de la ciudad, los requisitos estatales y federales.
  • Seguir todas las pr cticas establecidas de salud, saneamiento y seguridad alimentaria y laboral.
  • Requisitos f sicos: este puesto requerir que permanezca de pie durante la duraci n de su turno, reteniendo todos los requisitos de descanso / trabajo exigidos por el estado. Debe poder levantar, empujar, tirar y mover productos, equipos y suministros de hasta cincuenta (50) libras. El trabajo requiere los siguientes movimientos: agacharse, girar, ponerse en cuclillas y estirarse.
