Commissary Cook

Cherlato is an up-and-coming ice cream concept. We’re interested in hiring one additional staff member to help us with some of the shopping and morning preparations for our ice cream production process.
 
 1) We expect this will require 20-30 hours per week, primarily during the morning hours.
 2) The work would be done onsite at the factory or in a nearby facility. We are looking for someone with robust experience in kitchen prep, preferably specific to artisanal ice-cream/pastry. 
3) We need someone willing and able to shop for and deliver certain ingredients to the factory as well. 
4) This engagement will last 3-6 months with the potential to extend. 


Responsibilities: 
1. Food Preparation: Preparing recipes independently, following recipes or instructions provided, and ensuring high-quality preparation presentation and taste.

2. Kitchen Maintenance: Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and properly stocked with ingredients and supplies. This includes washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining a tidy work area.

3 Grocery Shopping: Going out to purchase ingredients and supplies necessary for the preparation, ensuring freshness, quality, and adherence to budget constraints.

5. Time Management: Efficiently managing time to complete all cooking and kitchen-related tasks within the allotted hours.

6. Adaptability: Being flexible and able to adjust menus or meal plans based on changing circumstances or specific dietary needs.

With 20-25 hours per week, the individual would have ample time to complete these tasks independently and deliver high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
