As part of a multi-disciplinary team, this Clinician provides clinical and advocacy-related services to the survivors impacted by domestic violence. S/he will be conducting individual and group counseling to adults in our Valley location.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in social work or a related field
  • Registered in the State of California by the of Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology (must be obtained within 120 days of hire)
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Current unrestricted CA Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance
  • Experience in clinical work with persons impacted by interpersonal violence 
  • Knowledge of trauma informed modalities of treatment.
  • Interest in outreach, advocacy, and community-based social work
  • 40-hour domestic violence training, strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the principles of crisis counseling
  • Must be computer literate in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work with a multicultural population
  • Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to beginning employment

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Provide mental health services which may include assessments, psychosocial intakes and treatment planning
  • Provide individual and group counseling to persons impacted by interpersonal violence
  • Provide timely documentation and requirements for statistical reporting
  • Responsive to all requirements for documentation and statistical reporting
  • Advocacy as needed with outside agencies 
  • Abide by professional confidentiality guidelines by only sharing client information within the organization when it meets the need of the client
  • May be required to be a field work supervisor and/or preceptor for Social Work students
  • Attend program and agency staff meetings
  • Participation in weekly supervision
  • Other related duties as required
  • Hours towards licensure available but not guaranteed
