Hi there! We are Big Machine Productions, an independent video production agency with a focus on creating content with a big heart.
Our main client is Netflix, where we primarily create social content across their YouTube channels, as well as pitch and develop content for Twitter, TikTok and Instagram in the form of GIFs, Stories, memes and more. We are now looking to bring on a super-savvy Editor to join our growing remote team of freelancers (spread out across Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, Florida, and even far-flung locales like Bali).

The ideal candidate will assist us in creating innovative and engaging content that is optimized for social. Sounds like something you could do?
Here’s the specifics: Edit upwards of 10 social videos per month with a tight turnaround time Add engaging graphical design flair to videos when best for the platform Manage time to meet deadlines, prioritize projects and provide quality deliverables in a timely manner (we have a lot of edits per week!) Quality checks all final deliverables before delivery.
Expert with Adobe Suite (especially Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects) Brainstorm independently and collaboratively with the team to create concepts and direction for various graphic needs Enjoys the show Bridgerton (not a requirement, we just really love that show) Other duties as assigned You Should Also Have: Minimum 3 years of experience as an editor and graphic artist.
Experience editing social videos for Instagram and Twitter Excellent communication skills, time management skills, and a strong work ethic.
Knowledge of graphic design best practices and principles for social media projects (Instagram stories, Twitter memes, etc) Great motivation to work both as a team player and independently on projects with minimal supervision.
The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
Ability to work effectively under deadlines across several assignments simultaneously A reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone, and webcam.
Reliable internet access and power are required.
Additional Skills That Would Be Great: Experience working with and directing motion graphics designers, along with a Rolodex of excellent freelancer designers.
A strong creative vision and ability to come up with and troubleshoot new video formats.
