About the Role
Blueprint Test Preparation is seeking a Science Storyboarding Specialist
– Video Content Producer to contribute to the continued development of our test preparation and study planning products.
This is a contract position that is based out of our LA Headquarters.
The role will report to our Project Manager.
Who You Are
- You have a bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a related discipline:
- Biology, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Physics
- You have a background in storyboarding and film production
- You are comfortable with producing storyboards that include accurate visuals for scientific content
- You have experience with adobe illustrator or similar image creation software
- You have experience working in partnership with subject matter experts, video editors, and other members of a film crew
- You’re ready and willing to learn into new processes and ways of getting things done
- You’re excited to work in an office with our production team
- Experience in producing educational content preferred
- Experience explaining science concepts
What You’ll Do
Day-to-day responsibilities will vary significantly but are likely to include:
- Storyboarding
- Generating or selecting scientifically accurate and appropriate visuals to associate with scripted educational content
- Reviewing materials for clarity, succinctness, brand voice, and humor
- Partnering with scriptwriters to ensure ideas are conveyed correctly
- Standardizing style, look, and feel of our video products
– both adhering to and generating style guides - Working closely with post-production to ensure ideas are executed on
- Giving direction on what visuals should appear on screen and when
- Working with our artists and existing materials to assemble video, art, and audio assets for editing purposes
- Quality Assurance
- Reviewing produced works to ensure storyboards and style guidelines are executed on well
