POSITION PURPOSE: This position is responsible for setting up and operating turret press to load program, set up tooling, load blanks, unload product and complete all required production paper work according to job specifications.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Sets up and operates turret press to load program, set up tooling, load blanks, unload product and complete all required production paper work according to job specifications Assembles, installs, and aligns punches/dies in press according to specifications, using feelers, shims, bolts, clamps, and wrenches.
May adjust ram stroke to specified length, including positioning work piece against clamps or stops on machine bed.
Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications, visually or by use of gauges or templates, and adjust machine to correct errors.
Programming may be done by computer.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Adhere to all company standards and policies.
Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Basic mechanical principles of machine setups, operations, and materials.
Requires general knowledge of sheet metal fabricating and assembly practices.
Ability to operate machines including, but not limited to bar code reader, computer terminal, other electronic devices, and forklift.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and the capacity to learn new systems.

Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D.
certification.
Preferred: Experience in a related field.
