Systems Analyst- Master Data

Job Summary: As part of the Data Management team, we are looking for team members who are passionate about data and providing the right data at the right time.

As part of the Data Management department, the Master Data team owns the integrity and consistency of enterprise, business critical data to ensure accurate data is leveraged for data consumers and boundary systems.

The Systems Analyst will help identify and analyze business critical data within the organization obtained from a variety of sources, including but not limited to customer, human resources, financial, recruiting and sales data.

The following responsibilities of this role will support the mission, vision, and objectives of the Data Management department: Through data profiling, data quality assessments, and data cleansing, ensures master and reference data conforms to approved data standards across systems.

Partners with data owners, data stewards and delivery teams to define and implement processes to ensure data quality across systems.

Partners with the Data Governance and Privacy and Protection teams to help enforce policies and ensure compliance with data quality standards.

Responsibilities Essential Functions: Works to identify best practices and process improvements for data management based on analysis and solicited feedback from IT and business partners.

Gathers data quality and data standards requirements and translates them into product backlog features and stories.

Identifies inconsistencies and sources of data errors within and across systems and recommends and/or enacts solutions to remedy the issues.

Ensures data complies with naming standards and data definitions.

Works in collaboration with the organization to understand data flows as it pertains to business processes, reporting, and advanced analytics to set data standards and improve overall data quality.

Qualifications Minimum Education and/or Experience: BS in Computer Science, Business, or related major or equivalent business experience Prefer 1-3 years of experience in data management, within master data and/or data governance.

Skills/Abilities: Superior knowledge of SQL and data visualization concepts.

Understanding and experience with reporting technologies, relational databases, and data modeling as it relates to master data and reference data.

Must be able to analyze and understand complex data and business process model interrelationships.

Experience in working with master data and reference data management tools (Informatica experience a plus) Proficiency with analytical tools, knowledge of data analysis methodologies Use of presentation software, strong communication skills and a strong commitment and affinity for delivering the highest level of customer service.

Experience working in an agile SCRUM environment (Version1 experience a plus).

Advanced knowledge of MS Office.

Must have strong technical, organizational level communication skills (both written and verbal).

Ability to communicate project status, issues and resolutions with appropriate customers.
