SVP & GM Global Brands

The SVP & General Manager of Company ‘s Fashion Portfolio is a business unit leader that will have responsibility and ownership to grow and develop Company ‘s Fashion business to offer best-in-class products and experiences to consumers around the globe. The business is made up of an unmatched portfolio of brands that will inspire, empower, ignite imagination and lifelong connections for our consumers while innovating across a variety of important play trends & societal needs. This senior executive leader will create the vision for the future of Company ‘s Fashion business and will lead the team with passion, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The SVP & GM will have full accountability for their brands and be charged with driving global revenue utilizing best in class consumer insights to drive innovative solutions and brand growth for the business unit by leading empowered teams consisting of Product Marketing & Merchandising, Design, Development, Engineering, and Project Management.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

The SVP & General Manager of the Fashion Portfolio will have full accountability for a global business unit and consumer category leading empowered teams by:

  • Overseeing and directing all activities of the business unit, including global consumer marketing, product design, innovation design, engineering, project management, creative development and financial planning functions
  • Creating a long-term business strategy and vision for Company ‘s business that will ensure Company is a top leader in the market with the most innovative toy and games
  • Maximize the brand blueprint across key franchises in partnership with eOne & Licensed Consumer Products
  • Allocating resources and make decisions regarding organizational growth and diversification to accomplish the organization ‘s vision
  • Leading cross functional teams to ensure execution of an annual brand/operating plan, including KPI ‘s such as; Brand/Business unit growth targets and revenue in partnership with regions, gross margin, ex-factory cost improvement, the entire line of toy and game development for the brands in the business unit on time, and culture creation leading highly motivated bi-coastal teams.
  • Leading, coaching, developing, and motivating multiple teams of various level executives, directors, and managers, including design, development, engineering, project management, marketing, and financial planning to achieve their career goals.
  • Identifying and leveraging strong consumer insights to grow and develop the category, their brands, and identifying new white space for brand growth and development with breakthrough products and compelling marketing,
  • Lead global commercial alignment for their brands and business unit with their General Management peer group, and drive with the regions to create a One Company plan so we all meet our revenue and profitability goals

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • The Company business leader will be a high-performance and strategically inspired, passionate executive with proven experience in leading consumer organizations directly influencing revenue performance
  • In-depth working knowledge of the consumer landscape and a successful track record delivering disruptive product and marketing programs and launches that differentiate Company in the category and positively exceed corporate expectations
  • Bachelor ‘s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field. An MBA or advanced degree highly desirable
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • 15+ years of franchise strategy and General Management experience in forward thinking consumer organization, preferably supporting a global business
  • Excellent leadership and team building/management skills; ability to provide clear and concise direction/feedback to external and internal stakeholders as well as the ability to influence others
  • Ability to consult on the business needs and the strategies or tactics for delivering quantifiable business results
  • Proven track record in delivering consumer products to market that grow market share, sales growth and profitability
  • Expertise in planning, prioritizing and goal setting including the ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and create detailed action plans
  • Proven experience building and mentoring teams
  • Capable of shaping a clear strategic vision and effectively communicating that vision throughout all levels of the organization
