Come build your career with BAE Systems in Endicott, NY as a Junior Supplier Quality Engineer.In this role you will:Respond to supplier quality issues identified at receiving inspection, on the manufacturing floor, and in the fieldBuild relationships with the supply base in order to communicate issues and coordinate resolutions efficiently and effectivelyFacilitate root cause corrective action investigations to address systemic supplier quality issues Analyze supplier data and defect trends to identify areas of improvement and risk mitigation opportunitiesParticipate in supplier audits/assessmentsReview First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports to confirm material compliance Collaborate with commodity managers, buyers, design engineers, and product line quality engineers to drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements in the supply baseMaintain compliance to established procurement and quality systemsBecause this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite, traveling domestically and internationally to supplier sites, and working remotely.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Typically a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experienceAbility to understand and interpret engineering drawings, terms & conditions, and quality standardsExcellent communication and organizational skillsMotivated team player with a positive attitude Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change with easeStrong problem solving skills and drive for continuous improvementPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Engineering Degree or strong technical aptitude2 years of experience in a quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, or supply chain roleProficiency in Oracle ERP Understanding of AS9100 or similar quality systemAwareness of AS9145 or APQP/PPAPAbout BAE Systems Electronic Systems BAE Systems, Inc.
