Subcontract Administrator – REMOTE

Allied Universal Technology Services is hiring a Subcontract Manager. The Subcontract Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and day-to-day management and strategic leadership of the AUTS subcontractor program to include high level coordination with field operations, business development, and shared services.

POSITION IS REMOTE with some travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and continuously improve upon a best practice subcontractor program for construction, installation, and service subcontractor companies in the electronic security and communications industries
  • Maintain, update, and evolve the preferred subcontractor database and network capabilities map
  • Partner with IT resources to develop a subcontractor portal; increasingly automate processes as relevant
  • Develop and grow the subcontractor network in alignment with the business strategy
  • Collaborate with PreSales Engineering & Estimation to develop templates and/or packages that prospective subcontractors will use to estimate project labor
  • Establish and implement a best practice onboarding experience for subcontractors
  • Establish metrics for performance management and implement a subcontractor assessment practice
  • Create and implement a recognition program for subcontractors, measure, and report on performance of subcontractors
  • Collaborate in close partnership Regional Operations, Services, Contracts, Legal, Procurement, Innovation and other disciplines across business units and geographies as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience
  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, Subcontractor Management with a minimum of five (5) years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, Subcontractor Management, or related field
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment; capable of managing multiple projects, shifting competing priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and to work evenings, weekends and holidays as requested or required
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all employees, vendors, and executive level clients
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ten (10) years of progressively more responsible experience
  • Prior work experience in construction field management, contract management, systems engineering, QA/QC surveillance, sales engineering, cost estimating, and/or subcontractor management
