Student Assistant

Responsibilities

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Student Assistant to join the UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs to provide administrative support.

Primary duties include:
Tracking and entering data
Managing databases
Scheduling program reviews
Conducting phone surveys
Conducting data analysis
Qualifications
Must be current UCLA student
Ability to work independently and pay attention to detail
Ability to write clearly, concisely, and grammatically correct notes and memos
Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with all staff, faculty, students, patients, volunteers and the public
Strong computer skills, proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office programs – especially Microsoft Excel
Ability to compile and track data
Skill in establishing priorities, working independently and completing assignments in a timely manner
