Career DescriptionJob DescriptionSUMMARYStore Setup Team Leads are onsite leaders of setup projects for new, remodeled and relocated Advance Auto Parts stores. Leads are responsible for managing each store setup project, to set a store to be ready for open. They lead their team of Store Setup personnel, coordinate vendors and contracted support, as well as manage the work of local store teams.This position requires regular travel but can be performed from anywhere in the US.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.+ Leads team of two to three Store Setup personnel, manages the overall setup project inclusive of vendors, contract support, and local Advance Auto Parts Retail Team Members to successfully set up a new store, relocation, or remodel of an Advance Auto Parts, Auto Parts International, Carquest, WORLDPAC or other acquired companies stores/branches to company and department standards, on time, and in budget.+ Trains local team members and contract support on proper merchandising techniques. Directs them in their day to day assignments and tasks through Team Leads.+ Builds Gondolas and Backroom storage shelving according to floor plan.+ Ensures all persons safety on site. Is responsible for operating and maintaining company equipment in a safe manner and instructing others to do the same.+ Directs all work related to Merchandising, Fixturing, and Signage in the store.+ Must document (written) any noncompliance with company policy or procedure by an employee within forty-eight (48) hours of occurrence (contact supervisor or Human Resource if in doubt)+ Draft and Submit a Project Summary and Report after each project containing all critical site materials and photos of completed work.+ Responsible for staying on time and within budget for each project (Tens of thousands of dollars, actual number coming soon)+ Must be willing to travel 80-100% of the time+ Reconciling travel and business-related expensesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES+ Direct managerial responsibility for 2-3 team members and 2-20 internal or outsourced team members during assignments. Is responsible for assisting in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include – Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.+ To maintain a positive attitude, set a professional example, and promote proper work ethics for team members and operations personnel at all times to follow.+ Must be comfortable leading in a matrixed environment+ Verify all plan-o-grams are correct, current and built to plan. This includes signage, display racks, and specialty display items. Any errors in plan-o-gram accuracy should be reported to the plan-o-gram department.+ Report any unfinished construction issues to the construction department.+ Is responsible for team members conduct at stores, motels, etc. as they travel.+ Is responsible for keeping expenses to a minimum following department and company guidelines. Travel may require being away from home for 8 to twelve days at a time.
