Sr Systems Administrator

Job Description Plan, install, configure, upgrade, relocate, and troubleshoot hardware, network operating systems and software for all IT equipment – applying patches/fixes; managing and monitoring security and system performance. · Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls. · Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor. · Maintain and support PCs, servers, network hardware, software and applications in Microsoft environment and provide 24X7/365 support as needed. · Manage a Windows Domain ActiveDirectory implementation with Azure ActiveDirectory sync. · Manage Microsoft Exchange servers and O365 Environment. · Manage a virtualization Infrastructure (Host and Storage, VMWare and HyperV). · Provide Tier Two & Three Help Desk technical troubleshooting support for over 100 users in a distributed, dynamic and high-performance environment. · Manage back up and disaster recovery systems. · Configure and support VOIP phone systems, mobile devices and tablets. · Evaluate hardware and software products and make recommendations. · Automate tasks through scripting and the adoption of software/hardware tools. · Assist with special projects as necessary. · Assist with ensuring conformance to RIOS standards and Alpert & Alpert goals and objectives. · Assist with documentation of IT infrastructure and processes. · Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED · Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Engineering, Computer Science preferred) and a minimum 5 years of related experience. · Knowledge of Microsoft active directory 2016, DNS, Group policies and Exchange administration. · Experience with implementing, administering, and managing network hardware devices, including but not limited to servers, PCs, switches, routers and firewalls. · Experience with Virtualization and SANs and knowledge of Apple/laptops/iPads/iPhones hardware is highly preferred, but not required. · Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team a must. · Possess strong work ethic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and detail oriented. · Excellent time management and organization skills. · Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction. · Travel as needed to Branch locations (5-10%) Company Description Scrap Metal Recycling Company
