What you’ll do here: We are looking for a Sr. Systems Analyst who will play a key role in the Cengage Work Technology Team. Collaborate multi-functionally with product and subject area owners, user experience experts, technology, and other partners to explore concepts and discover needs through customer and user research Establish a common understanding of project requirements that address platform needs using contextually appropriate requirement modeling techniques Work with business partners across business functions to find common needs and/or clarify gaps in aligning project requirements Understand our organizational strategy and work with team members to identify and define priorities appropriately Drive multi-functional prioritization and planning sessions in and between business units Develop comprehensive user stories, logical design diagrams and a prioritized backlog to engage development teams in addressing identified needs Mock-up, review and validate associated user interface designs Gain empirical working knowledge of product capabilities offered by our platforms Negotiate and build alignment among competing parties and priorities, ultimately driving teams to effective decisions Possess and use outstanding oral and written communication skills, capable of addressing technical and non-technical audiences at a variety of organizational levels Think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems, clearly communicate findings of analysis, and propose solutions that address explicit and implicit needs Manage and interact with multiple vendors and their third-party solutions Ensure system functionality documentation is complete and up to date after each release/enhancement Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with end users or business partners Skills you will need here: Five or more years work experience in technology-focused environments Solid technical background or equivalent degree Solid experience in multiple-workstream analysis and interdependencies Solid experience in an analyst or comparable role in an Agile development environment Good communication and facilitation skills Skills we prefer: Experience working in data analytics and master data management Experience in digital education or Cengage Learning businesses units Experience with requirements, development, and project management tools (e.g., Aha, JIRA, Wrike, Trello, Smartsheet) Cengage Group is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. Base Pay Range The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.
