Spectrum Networks seeks to provide the most essential local news and information, cultivating relevant and thoughtful conversations that foster informed and engaged communities.The Environment: Spectrum News is a 24-hour breaking news network which requires employees who are flexible and available to work various shift, including early morning, late evenings, weekends and holidays.

You have the ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.What were looking for: The Senior Producer position has three main responsibilities: oversight of the segment producers (bookers); content planning and production; liaison with the news producers, both internally and in other Spectrum markets.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the segment producers pitches, bookings, and prep material.Oversee final editing of show scriptReview MMJ packagesProduce compilation episodes/produce This Month With The MayorCreate social media contentLiaison with news personnel re: booking, especially political guestsFill in for studio EP/line produce news specials when necessaryManage the relationship with correspondents/regular guestsQualifications: Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to field produce shoots with talentAbility to operate studio software: i.E.

DaletEducation & Experience: High School diploma required; Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field or comparable television work experience preferred5+ years of Television news experience3+ years of Line producing experience Our Culture: Every employee is an influencer and culture keeper.

Roles may require the following:Overtime may be required to meet deadlinesVarying schedule due to, breaking news and/or daily news coverage requirementsProvide 24×7, 365 days per year, on-call support.

May entail phone or physical presence at the facility for equipment failure or other disasters.
