is a general contractor based out of Manhattan, KS that has been in business for over 80 years.
We operate in the water and wastewater industry, providing construction services by building and upgrading water treatment plants primarily between Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
Our projects typically include the installation and replacement of mechanical equipment such as pumps, piping, clarifier equipment, barscreens, grit removal equipment, miscellaneous sitework, excavations and grading, and more.
What We’re Looking For: Walters-Morgan Construction, Inc is looking for skilled laborers in multiple areas throughout Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
We have immediate full time openings to staff our current projects and for the people that excel and are willing to travel, a rewarding career that could last a lifetime.
This position offers health, dental, and vision insurance the first of the month after hire.
General Experience: Skilled laborers should be familiar with general construction activities and have a minimum of 2 or 3 years of experience.
Unloading, staging, and storing of materials and equipment as needed.
Construction & installation of concrete formwork for foundations, structures, tanks, walls, slabs, columns, and elevated decks.
Erection of scaffolding and ladders needed to build structures.
Operating equipment with proper training.
Rigging as necessary for movement of materials & equipment.
Assist with various piping and mechanical installations.
Demolition of items to be removed.
Spreading of gravel and concrete as needed.
Assist other skilled trades with job requirements as needed .
General requirements include, but are not limited to: Climbing up and down ladders Ability to lift objects that weigh 50 /
– lbs.
Bending, squatting, kneeling, and operating tools/equipment.
Must have reliable transportation or travel arrangements OSHA 10/30 certification preferred, but not required Willingness to learn and be flexible Verifiable references required Walters Morgan Construction will run a background check, E-Verify and a drug screen.
