SEO Content Senior Specialist

The SEO content specialist must deeply understand SEO best practices and be able to develop strong cross-functional relationships across the organization, ensuring website content is optimized and developed with SEO best practices in mind.

As SEO Content Specialist, you will report to the SEO Director and be responsible for managing and implementing on-page and off-page SEO strategies.

You’ll work closely with internal and external partners to implement best practices and provide strategic input and recommendations.

What you’ll do:
Responsible for growing overall organic search visibility for all Nordstrom brands, driving productive incremental organic traffic, site conversions and sales.

Develop, maintain and execute content strategy aligned with SEO best practices Educate and influence others within the organization regarding the importance of content and internal linking as it relates to SEO to gain non-branded market share, build domain expertise, authority, and trust.

Form strong cross-functional partnerships within the organization to help define and streamline internal processes and fully integrate SEO into public facing website projects Produce robust, data driven content optimization recommendations, including new and existing content, to address keyword gaps and competitive opportunities Leverage tools and develop internal reporting to regularly monitor and report on content performance and holistic SERP visibility Consult on information architecture to aid in search engine visibility, while optimizing internal linking to strategically pass link value and aid in new page discovery Stay up to date with current and future SEO and search-marketing trends Conduct internal audits including internal link health and optimization, canonical tag implementation, schema.org compatibility, XML sitemaps, metadata, crawl errors, redirect strategies, Work closely with internal product, merchandising and creative teams to streamline the process of optimizing category landing pages, product display pages, and in the creation and optimization of evergreen content pages Consult on new content projects and ensure accurate implementation/QA (Meta Data, URL structure and internal linking, structured data and schematic markup)
You’ve Got:
3+ years experience managing large scale SEO projects, including competitive & keyword research, content mapping, planning and reporting.

In House / Ecommerce site SEO experience strongly preferred Extremely detail-oriented, with an editor’s eye Highly organized & data driven Able to juggle multiple competing priorities Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Experience with Analytics software: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Clicktale Experience/familiarity with workflow tools: Workfront, Jira, Asana, etc.

Experience with Competitor Research, Site Health, and Ranking Intelligence tools (e.g.

Ahrefs, Conductor, BrightEdge, SEMrush) Proficient use of website crawler software (DeepCrawl, Screaming Frog, etc) Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel
