Senior Tax Preparer Responsibilities

  • Conducts the preparation of diverse tax returns, including corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary filings, demonstrating proficiency in advanced tax compliance, planning, and accounting tasks, such as compilations and preparation (SSARS 21).
  • Exhibits expertise in tax and accounting research methodologies and utilizes various research sources to stay current with industry standards.
  • Assists senior accounting professionals in executing their duties and responsibilities effectively.
  • Drafts comprehensive financial statements and accompanying notes for compilation or review engagements.

Senior Tax Preparer Qualifications

  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Preferred possession of a Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Brings a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in public accounting, with a specific focus on taxation.
  • Proficient in navigating complex tax systems, particularly Ultra Tax, alongside competence in utilizing accounting software and time and billing software.
  • Demonstrates adeptness with MS Office Applications.
  • Displays exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Senior Tax Preparer Compensation

  • $75,000 – $90,000 base salary & bonuses
