Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is seeking a qualified Senior Principal Facilities Planner individual to join our team of qualified, highly talented and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA. Job Description: The ideal candidate plans utilization of office space with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds. Plans, coordinates, and allocates office space for all locations. Develops and recommends long-range plans to meet future office space needs. Formulates, recommends, and ensures compliance with approved standards and policies relating to office space and furnishings. May provide liaison with owners of rented office space in matters relating to planning and execution of alterations/leasehold improvements, occupancy, and adherence to lease allowance and terms. This position will require a high level of communication, written, and oral. The ability to deliver information and presentations to executive leadership level customers will also be key. The candidate will work with the Manager of Office Planning to identify building issues and develop solutions to ensure no break to customer support. May coordinate the work of employee(s) assigned to the projects and shall be responsible for supporting both internal and external customers in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Responsibilities include: * Manage space planning responsibilities for multiple buildings, with a variety of projects in broad range of size and scopes.
* Develop fit plans including current and proposed layouts of furniture with power/data requirements.
* Review and approve move requests and work with move coordination team. * Overview and daily access the facilities database. Track and monitor the status of submitted facility tickets for moves and maintenance.
* Advises leadership and team members on various program and project related status.
* Enforce the change management processes.
* Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (hourly through executives) Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 8 years of professional experience with a Master’s Degree. 15 years of facilities planning experience in lieu of degree
* Ten years of experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
* Must have experience and working knowledge of facility topics such as: electrical, or phone/data/av knowledge, and overall maintenance experience associated with a large, multi-building campus.
* Must have experience and success interacting successfully with customers and building facility vendors as candidate will very often serve as facility liaison with vendors.
* Ability to utilize AutoCAD or other map/diagram/modeling tools such as Visio, Rivet
* Experience working with Facilities Management Systems (e.g. Archibus, Maximo, etc.)
* Experience in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Project, etc.)
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Department of Defense Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: * Current Active TS or SCI (SSBI) clearance * Prior Archibus Experience Salary Range: $103,900 USD – $155,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
