Senior Pricing Analyst

Our client is a leading law firm in Los Angeles seeking to add a Senior Pricing Analyst to their team. This person will report directly to the Director of Pricing and Analysis and will work across all levels of the Firm. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for performing value-based pricing analysis, leading cross-functional pricing projects, and making recommendations regarding pricing levels, discounts, and contract negotiations. The ideal candidate will have prior pricing experience, preferably within a law firm.

The company has been consistently ranked on The American Lawyer’s A-List, including six years in the top spot. About 80% of their attorneys served as law clerks to federal judges, and seventeen attorneys were clerks to U.S. Supreme Court Justices.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Generation and distribution of key monthly financial performance reports.
• Provides financial analysis planning and management reporting of key operational metrics.
• Analyze historical data to support the development of pricing proposals and the setting of timekeeper billing rates.
• Support strategic pricing initiatives of the Firm with financial modeling and data mining analysis. Identify, extract and summarize information from multiple sources for specialized internal and client reporting.
• Responding to financial and statistical surveys.
• Provides ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to Firm’s attorneys, policy advisors, department heads and management.
• Assist in the annual budget process.
• Assist in the development and implementation of profitability models and profitability analysis.
• Assist with the development of financial tools, processes and best practices in relation to the financial reporting, analysis and pricing.
• Performing additional projects for the Executive Committee, Chief Operating Officer and other C-Suite and • Directors on a regular basis.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics required
• Minimum of 5 years experience in financial analysis, ideally within a law firm or professional services organization.
• Knowledge of a law firm’s business processes, pricing, budgeting and business operations.
