Description SAIC has been awarded a task order to support the Office of Experimental Sciences Technical, Analytical, Programmatic and Integration Support Services. This organization is a key part of the U.S. Nuclear Weapons Program. It addresses both basic and applied science and engineering associated with weapon design, engineering, margins of uncertainty, development of diagnostics and major experimental facilities. It works closely with the Los Alamos, Livermore, and Sandia National Laboratories and the Nevada Nuclear Security Site (old Nevada Test Site). Also works with the nuclear weapon production sites and DoD relevant weapon system program offices. The position applies general knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons science portfolio and expertise in several specific aspects of it. It leverages this knowledge to consolidate reports, attend various meetings and document results, analyze reports from the research facilities to develop documentation and other related activities. The position will assist government employees in various activities interfacing with research organization on projects such as ICF, HED, Applied Science and other related nuclear security related programs. The information and projects will be both classified and unclassified. Must have computer experience using standard applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Must have outstanding communication skills both written and verbal and have the ability to communicate with a variety of people at all levels in an organization. Qualifications TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more of related experience; Masters and seven (7) years, PhD and four (4) years or more relavent experience. * Must be US Citizen * Must have experience working with NNSA science and nuclear related projects in at least one of the areas below: * Experience with NNSA Facility Operations * Experience with the NNSA complex, experimental facilities, science-based stockpile stewardship * Experience with Material in Extreme Conditions (MEC) research * Experience with Light Source experimental research such as (APS at Argonne National Labs, National Synchrotron at Brookhaven, and LCLS at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory) * Experience with Advance Diagnostic * Relevant advanced degree (nuclear, HE, materials, physics, etc.) * Must have extensive experience working in current standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. * Must have experience performing work in a virtual / telework environment * Excellent communications both verbal and written. * Must be able to communicate complex scientific reports and develop these reports from data analysis to others who may be not technical both via presentation and in written reports. * Must have an active DOD Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance LOCATION: Work will be Hybrid Remote. Work may be both on-site in one of the locations listed below and remote. Qualified candidates will be able to be on-site at one of the identified locations as determined by the client. * Washington, DC * Germantown, MD * Albuquerque, NM * Los Alamos, NM * Livermore, CA Target salary range: $125,001 – $150,000.
