Senior Hospital Auditor and Trainer

Responsibilities
In our Office of Compliance Services (OCS), our Senior Hospital Auditor and Trainer will be responsible for collecting, collating, and analyzing hospital data to identify compliance risks or areas of potential non-compliance.

In this role, you will develop audit tools to perform various types of hospital compliance audits.

In addition, you will provide coding, billing and other compliance audits as directed and analyze and summarize audit findings in a clear precise manner.

Acting as an expert-level liaison for hospital compliance queries conducted thorough accurate research, you will provide training and education to the UCLA Health workforce on hospital compliance issues.

Qualifications
3+ yearsÂ’ experience in a hospital coding, billing, utilization review, compliance, and/or related environment required
Working knowledge of hospital coding and billing principles and practices required, including knowledge of ICD-10-PCS, ICD-10-CM; and CPT diagnostic and procedure codes, and Medicare prospective payment systems (including inpatient, outpatient, and home health)
Experience reading, comprehending and implementing state and federal regulations, payer program memorandum, and other complex, technical and/or legal documents
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certifications in RHIA, RHIT, or CCS or equivalent preferred; if you do not have certification, you will be required to obtain certification within 18 months of hire
Experience reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing data in Excel and PowerPoint required
