Senior Grant Administrators – CDBG Covid

Be part of our team of experts who work to improve the conditions of America’s most at-risk populations and provide strategic consulting to support long-term recovery.

We are seeking Senior Grant Administrators who will support government agencies in California in managing federal grants for recovery efforts related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the growing Disaster Management Division, the position requires experience working with marginalized populations and a willingness to learn about HUD’s new Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) program that will assist individuals and families stay stable housed.

As a Senior Grant Administrator, you will manage, review, analyze, and evaluate grant program activities to ensure compliance with grant program requirements and local and federal regulations governing federally funding grant programs.

This includes the preparation of grant acceptance documents to formulating processes or procedures for implementation, and maintenance of files and databases necessary for preparing reports.​

These are home-based positions for those located in California.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

4+ years of experience in grants management or grant administration

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Social Work, Public Policy/Administration, Business, Project Management

Experience with State CDBG programs, Uniform Relocation Act, and/or Section 3 a plus

Experience with tribal programs

Professional Skills:

Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to influence an audience that includes senior leaders and stakeholders

Strong organizational, prioritization, task-juggling and planning skills, as you will be working on a wide range of topics and projects simultaneously.

A professional demeanor, flexible and positive attitude, even while working in a fast-paced environment

Strong motivation and ability to learn and understand new concepts and strategies

Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment 

Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
