Advanced Systems Group, LLC (ASG) provides onsite managed services for a large tech video-sharing platform. We are seeking a technically-minded production professional to join our team onsite with our client in LA or remotely.
The Senior Editor will deliver high-quality campaign creative for our client. You will edit a wide range of creative elements including broadcast commercial spots, content, digital, social assets and accompanying graphics. You will liaise with senior creative, marketing teams and marketing operations regarding creative assets and delivery. The Senior Editor will deliver work to specific strategies—and at times work with both the Marketing and Digital / Social teams. Must have excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders throughout the organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate compelling, innovative creative (e.g. TV spots, social content, digital assets, etc.) for marketing content.
- Edit dynamic, compelling stories using a variety of assets, including original footage, existing content, and stock footage.
- Work collaboratively with creative teams and interpret direction and feedback to bring creative visions to life, while also expressing and communicating a strong editorial POV.
- Be able to interpret marketing and programming strategy to deliver compelling graphics and visuals to that strategy.
- Demonstrate the ability to create graphic elements as needed, and ensure that design is in sync with the style guide and brand.
- Produce assets that are both strategically and creatively exceptional.
- Manage priorities and workload effectively to meet expectations and deadlines.
- Set accurate estimates on delivery expectations and send status updates to key stakeholders.
- Manage media storage and organization of raw materials and archiving of final projects when needed.
- Provide mentoring to junior team members.
- Support in development of department training and skillset advancement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 8 years experience editing for advertising, creating stand-out work for commercial, social, and digital content.
- Experience working collaboratively with creative teams.
- Superior Adobe Premiere Pro editing experience a must.
- Possess strong experience in current production and post-production techniques (including Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Strong Motion Graphics skills preferred.
- Solid understanding of art production process is a plus.
- Strong understanding of storytelling/narrative structure, pacing, graphics, music, shot selection and all key aspects of audio visual content.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects through all phases of production with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrate excellent creative instincts/judgement.
- Natural born communicator, connecting the dots when others cannot and simplifying complex issues and questions.
- Thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and demonstrate strong judgment in the face of ambiguity.
