In this role, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the VP of Legal Affairs on a broad range of matters relating to commercial transactions and corporate governance, and will drive our global legal operations function.

In this role, you will have substantial responsibilities, and will have the opportunity to work with Therabody’s senior management and key business partners.

This position will report directly to the VP of Legal Affairs.nn nn n nn nn Key Responsibilities nn Administration of the global contract management process, including, but not limited to, managing internal requests, assisting the VP of Legal Affairs with the review, analysis and drafting of contracts, and maintaining a contract database.

Assist with the design, development and maintenance of standard contracts templates, processes, and policies to support legal operations and ensure that contracts are prepared accurately, efficiently, and timely.

Manage legal workflows and project deadlines for the department and communicate regularly with internal teams regarding the status of projects and deadlines.

Build productive relationships and feedback loops with Legal, Finance and senior business teams to drive efficiencies.

Support in corporate transactions and assist with due diligence efforts and follow-on compliance as needed.

Serve as custodian of corporate records and support the maintenance of international entity activity, jurisdictional qualifications to do business, and related entity and corporate governance items.

Assist with special project and conduct legal research as needed, with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.

Work closely with external counsel to manage deadlines and facilitate filing of documents and materials and provide support on a variety of intellectual property and corporate matters.

Manage legal vendors and invoices to optimize efficiency and help to reduce overall spend.

nn n nn nn The Right Person Would Have nn 7+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal or equivalent at a top law firm or in-house legal department.

4+ years of experience supporting commercial contracts required.

Bachelor’s degree required, and completion of ABA-approved paralegal program is a plus (JD considered).

Excellent time and deadline management skills in fast paced environment, able to juggle multiple projects and re-prioritize quickly and efficiently.

Must be strong team player (no job is too big or too small) and willing to take on additional responsibilities.

Enjoy working in a fast-paced, disruptive business.

Exceptional organization skills, strong self-motivator with high attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to thoughtfully yet concisely communicate with legal and non-legal stakeholders.

Proven ability to problem-solve, think independently and tackle projects with minimal supervision.

International experience a plus
– especially in-house.

Knowledge of IP and litigation principles is a plus.

Certified notary or willingness to take the exam and become a notary.
