The Compensation Analyst will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is paying equitably and is still competitive in the areas of salaries and employee benefits.
The Compensation Analyst works in a flexible hybrid office/remote setting and reports directly to the Director, Total Rewards.
Individuals with a background working with development and design of compensation plans, bonus programs, and commission plan design will thrive in this role as they are given flexibility to create new processes and explore new methods for continuous improvement of currently processes and procedures; as well as lead implementation of any new systems that maximize efficiency gains as AHEAD continues to soar in growth.If you are excited by the challenges of creating compensation process for the nuances of each organization, strategizing on the best approach to continually improve the full compensation process & system integrations to maximize the efficiency and scalability wherever possible, then this role will be a perfect fit for you.ResponsibilitiesLead compensation projects which impact salary and bonus updates as well as bonus and commission plan designResponsible for administering plan designs to help facilitate commission and bonus plan calculations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basisContinually monitor pay equity amongst roles ensuring we are striving to be fair and equitable in our pay practices and policiesDevelop compensation update cycles for the organizationTrain employees on compensation system as well as develop backups and business process guides for business continuityContinually evaluate compensation system and compensation process and enhance our processes and systems to ensure scalability for growthAssesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.Audit job description compliance and work with the recruiting and HRBP team to ensure any new job descriptions are created and maintained in real time.Develop audit procedures to ensure job descriptions are continually reviewed by management teamsBenchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.Participates in annual compensation surveys, ensuring to create a scalable process to maintain this as AHEAD continues to growGathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials.Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.Design, run, and distribute compensation reports within UKG, paired with market information as necessary, to HR Business Partners to create an efficient and scalable delivery process.Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.Designs, improves, and executes compensation processes and systems to ensure compliance, salary market competitiveness, and internal equityEvaluates, plans, and communicates preferred methods and best practices for hiring, compensating, and evaluating employees in order to help determine appropriate compensation level for each person.Advises management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, human resource procedures, and any other applicable legislation for the organization populationAssist P team and Commission team with other projects and duties needed.QualificationsCohesive understanding of compensation and incentive compensation including commission plans, bonus plans, and equity plans.Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 desired, with preference given to candidates who have a strong background working in Excel and compensation systems.Highly detailed, organized and analyticalPositive and upbeat mentality, ability to work with diverse personalities and approach each situation with a customer-focused and solution-focused mindsetProficient communication skills
