Responsible for detail review of tax calculations, including assignment cost projections, net-pay calculations, and individual US income tax returns for international taxpayers. Finalize compensation reviews and thoughtful tax research and planning. Develop and train Associate and partner with Senior Associate, Account Management. Assist in business development activities. Responsibilities:+ Respond (or delegate response) to customer inquiries within 24 hours+ Partner with Senior Associate, Account Management to make customer successful+ Develop and maintain good customer relationships+ Communicate with customers on tax technical items+ Proactively maintain regular communication with customers (employees and individuals)+ Assist and develop corporate customer relationships for some accounts along with Manager, Account Management with guidance from Manager and Senior Manager to help manage and improve corporate customer relationships+ Set clear expectations with customers+ Review, analyze, interpret, and present data clearly and professionally+ Design and oversee creation of deliverables to meet customer expectations+ Review and approve tax technical customer responses drafted by Associate+ Attend and hold meetings; assist with agenda creation, take notes regarding deliverables, timeline, and information flow; and create action itemsMaintain Common Processes & Own Tax Data Integrity + Ensure customer tax strategy data is properly recorded and updated in system+ Workpaper review, feedback to Associate and instructions on necessary corrections+ Timely update system for project status and advancement+ Ensure documents are organized/saved/deleted in proper timeframe, format, and location + Identify standards and processes that are not being followed and escalateTax Consulting + Continue to develop tax technical skills, soft skills, and technology skills+ Master U.S. individual federal and state income taxation + Master foreign national and US expatriate tax expertise+ Master calculating W-2 income for main stock types (ESPP, RSU, NQSO, ISO) and proficiency in foreign rules of stock option reporting and withholding + Master state tax residency and domicile status based on laws and regulations. Source state income correctly. + Master income tax treaties and totalization agreements+ Advise customers on U.S. payroll reporting for expatriate compensation, including hypothetical tax and housing norm deductions+ Prepare case analyses for assignments in planning stage including tax planning ideas+ Master fundamental international taxation mechanics+ Review tax equalization policies and implement processes+ Review assignment letters and agreements for tax language and provide advice to customers regarding best practices+ Ensure customers comply with applicable authorities while identifying options for minimizing the customers tax and reporting burdens+ Contribute to internal knowledge baseIntegrate Team + Support Manager and Senior Manager to make them successful+ Communicate with Manager, Account Management on budget discrepancies and time available.+ Review agendas for customer meetings+ Management and Accountability for Associate + Provide leadership, train, develop, mentor Associate and InternsSoftware+ Utilize CCH Axcess or similar, tax preparation software and other tax-related software in the completion of assigned tasks+ Adept in learning and operating Tax Software + Proficient MS Office: Excel, Word, Power Point and Teams + Proficient knowledge of Adobe Acrobat+ Proficient with email system and calendar (Outlook and Bookings)+ Knowledge with Cloud-based video conferencing software+ Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, International Business, Human Resource Management, or another technical field with emphasis on quantitative analysis, logical thinking, and reasoning;+ Advanced degree in Accounting or Tax preferred;+ Minimum 3 years of tax experience gained within public accounting firm or related industry experience with core focus on global mobility or start-up desirable;+ Actively pursuing CPA or Enrolled Agent certification;+ Experience in individual income tax preparation;+ Experience managing customer engagements highly valued;+ Demonstrated ability to drive and lead multiple projects;+ Experience in a customer/professional services environment; + Organized, extreme attention to detail;+ Ability to perform in highly interruptive conditions;+ Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; and+ Must be flexible and able to work overtime to meet deadlines.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Andersen Tax welcomes and encourages workforce diversity.
