Security Agent JFK

Job Description:The Security Agent is responsible for a wide range of functions which include maintaining positive control of the aircraft at all times, ensuring the safety of the air crew members and cargo.

They monitor and control all traffic entering and exiting the airport operation area.

The Security Agent reviews images of bags and cargo, using remote screening equipment, and alert baggage screeners or handlers to any possible problems.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor and maintain controlled access of the aircraft entrance and its surroundingsAbility to stand and walk for 4 hours or more.Screening individuals and their belongings prior to aircraft or airport operation area entry.Search aircraft for unauthorized material and/or personnelTransporting pilots to and from the aircraft to their destinationsInspect items, using x-ray viewing equipment, to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation.Preparing required reports, forms and records as required by the Transportation Security AdministrationMaintain working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulationsReporting all suspicious items or activity to management to determine the correct course of actionMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be 18 years or olderMust have reliable means of transportationMust be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods at a timeMust have valid driver’s licenseMust have high school diplomaMust be able to pass a 10 year background checkMust be able to work weekends and holidaysMust be a US CitizenMust have a Security Guard LicenseAlliance Ground International is an equal opportunity employer.
