Successful applicants for this position must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and be fully vaccinated, or have a valid waiver, by the date of hire. Proof of vaccination is required. Arcadis is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to support our California High Speed Rail team in Selma, CA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company and client safety policies. Role accountabilities: Implement and monitor the company and client safety plan Review safety plans and make recommendations to client for approval Monitor field activities to verify the work is being performed in compliance with approved safety plan Chair monthly safety meetings between the contractor and client Prepare and distribute meeting minutes for safety meeting Prepare action plans for reported safety deficiencies Report all serious on-site conditions or accidents to the client and responding agencies Prepare or obtain accident and incident reports for submission to client Verify that the staff has received the required safety training and required personal protective equipment Monitor training records to verify recurrent training requirements for the staff is completed Monitor contractor training records to verify all construction personnel have received the required training and recurrent training requirements are complete Qualifications & Experience: 10+ years of experience as a Health and Safety Manager Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
