Safety Engineer

Safety EngineerResponsibilities:* Interpret and apply CCR Title 8 Construction and General Industry Safety Orders.* Enforce injury and illness prevention plans, and ensure workers and subcontractors are in compliance with all Cal OSHA safety and health requirements.* Conducts daily inspections of the sites(s) to ensure work is being performed safely.* Review job hazard analysis (JHA) to identify hazards and potential risks.* Conducts incident investigations for near misses, first aid, and other incidents.* Responsible for safety orientation for new workers and visitors.* Ability to write incident investigation reports.Required Skills and Qualifications:* California Certified Underground Representative.* California Tunnel Gas Tester Certificate (Gassy).* Construction Health and Safety Technician Certificate (CHST).* OSHA 30-hour Construction Training card; and* First Aid/CPR.
