Requirements:   

  • Experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience required. Experience in the CPG or Beverage industry preferred.   
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Languages: Bi-lingual; speak, read & write Spanish fluently (required) 
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to consistently lift 25 pounds 
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft (Office, Excel and PowerPoint) 

Job Description:

The Safety Coordinator plays a critical role supporting the Risk & Safety strategy by executing initiatives to keep our employees safe at work and promote a workplace culture that always prioritizes safety first.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support for the Safety team by maintaining, updating, and auditing company safety databases. 
  • Coordinates trainings and maintains paper and electronic training records, ensuring overall accuracy and retention of records. 
  • Maintains, updates and appropriately distributes files, including spreadsheets, policies, environmental procedures, presentations, equipment inventory, and facilitates the distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety resources. 
  • Facilitates safety training at new hire orientation and assists with other training including OSHA 10/30-hour classes. 
  • Assists with OSHA 300 log reporting’s for all locations. 
  • Maintains confidentiality related to personal medical, environmental, safety and employee incidents.
  • Distributes safety meeting topics and training forms to Management.
  • Creates and maintains electronic folders for all types of incidents, including non-industrial and property damage reports.
  • Cross functionally supports the Benefits & Wellness team with Reasonable Accommodation requests and with the execution of Covid-19 local, State & Federal compliance requirements.

Job Details: 

Work Hours: Available to work flexible schedules, including some evenings & weekends 

Work Attire: Use good judgement, keeping in mind the nature of their work, their own safety and the safety of others, and their need to interact with the public.
