Research Associate-Surgery

Responsibilities
In this role, your primary duty will be to provide technical support in a research laboratory.

It requires expertise in a variety of
techniques including: tissue culture of mammalian cells; DNA/RNA/protein extraction and quantification from biological
materials of different types; and familiarity in working with murine models.

In addition, you will assist with general
maintenance of the laboratory such as ordering reagents and upkeep of lab equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Working knowledge and experience in immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology techniques
Capacity to establish cell culture and cell lines from patient blood and biopsy specimens.
Expertise with multiparametric flow cytometry
Ability to isolate and quantify DNA, RNA, and protein purification (e.g.

PCR, qPCR, Western Blot.)
Familiarity in working with murine models (e.g.

injecting tumor, performing splenectomy)
Ability to use computer software for word processing, data tabulation and graphing (e.g.

FlowJo).
