Responsibilities The Care Navigator will be responsible to connect with patients through phone, text, email, and video chat to set expectations for starting therapy, share information on programs, and provide approved resources living with cancer and beyond. The Care Navigator will provide education for the administration of the approved drugs, and/or disease state for which they are prescribed. The Care Navigator will provide patient’s understanding of their therapy and does and will not provide medical advice or replace a treatment plan from their doctor and treatment team. Engage with patients at key points in their treatment journey to provide relevant education and support. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: May provide in-home, telephonic or video injection training Accelerate disease state awareness Educate staff on Care Navigator program resources Integrate compliantly, per business rules, with sales professionals, reimbursement specialists and other matrix partners with the goal of optimizing the patient experience Communicate as required with managers, peers, customer counterparts. Ability to work within complex technologies with ability to complete/balance several tasks at once maintaining focus and accuracy Provide patient support through the approved, designated call cadence. Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has: Bachelor’s degree required. Active RN license or Advanced Practice degree (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant/PharmD/MSN) required. Bilingual Spanish required. Candidates who are OCN and/or Infusion certified is preferred A minimum of 2+ years post graduate oncology clinical and/or educational experience is required Previous industry experience preferred Experience with specialty products (preferably oncology and/or infusion/or subcutaneous injection) preferred Knowledge and/or experience with direct to patient education initiatives preferred Previous experience in introducing new specialty pharmaceutical/biologics products or indications a plus Interviews may be conducted in person at an on-site interview location.
