At Abundant Blessings, it is our mission to continue the fight to end homelessness through providing short-term or long-term housing, services, and necessary resources to homeless individuals, families, and children.

Residential Monitors are responsible for the safety and operations of the program.

The Residential Monitor’s role is to promote self-sufficiency of all clients served.

This is a full-time position.

We have positions to fill.

7am – 3:30pm.

3pm – 11:30pm

11pm – 7:30am.

Any day.

Job Requirements:
1.

Monitor facility and conduct routine walk-throughs to ensure doors are locked, cameras are operating properly, hallways/facility are free from obstacles and other safety hazards, cleaning supplies are kept in a locked designated area
2.

Conduct room checks at the beginning of your shift and at the end of your shift
3.

Supervise residents individually or in group activities including meals, house cleaning and visits with family/friends
4.

Verify that residents are accounted for and in compliance with program rules
5.

Submit non-compliance notification forms to assigned case managers and director
6.

Complete all required paperwork in a timely, accurate, legible manner, including but not limited to: Incident Reports, Non-Compliance Notification forms, Rounds/Shift report, Maintenance Request forms
7.Facilitate group activities as assigned
9.

Attend all mandatory meetings and in-service trainings
10.

Provide crisis intervention when situations occur while maintaining resident supervision
11.

Answer telephones, greet visitors, and perform administrative office duties as needed
12.

Assist with facility organization and maintaining a tidy facility
13.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director

Minimum Qualifications
1.

High school diploma and 2 years of experience working with at-risk youth or homeless population desired.
2.

Must possess a valid California Drivers License and pass annual driving requirements.
3.

Must maintain a current TB Test, CPR & First Aid Certification.
4.

Obtain Food Handlers certification within 30 days of hire

1.

Demonstrated self-direction and initiative in prioritizing, organizing and completing job responsibilities.
2.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct oneself professionally at all times
3.

Ability to work with diverse populations in a caring, sensitive, and non-judgmental manner
