Overview

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

This position performs advanced clerical functions necessary to organize, maintain, use and appropriately release patient health records.

May specialize in one or more of the advanced clerical functions including but not limited to; coordination of record requests, subpoena processing, answering telephones, logging medical record activity into medical record tracking system, and other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Required:
High School Diploma
Preferred:
One (1) year Medical Records/Health Information Department experience Understanding of HIPAA Regulations.

One (1) year of working with Release of Information in a hospital setting
