Location: US – San Antonio, TX Category: Information Technology Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph Job Description: The Regional Communications Security (COMSEC) Officer is responsible for performing all COMSEC Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) account management duties for a Government COMSEC Account. The RCO will ensure fielded accounts manage COMSEC IAW established policy. The RCO will also monitor the control/protection of all COMSEC material for field locations and support COMSEC managers in training, development of documentation, and inspect/coordinate activities with remote COMSEC sites and accounts. Responsibilities * Provide support and COMSEC oversight for multiple COMSEC accounts.
* Assist in the development of local COMSEC operating instructions and training plans.
* Assist COMSEC users with generating system updates, reconciliations, and inventories.
* Lead annual COMSEC manager and user training.
* Conduct COMSEC account inspections of COMSEC users.
* Maintain COMSEC account files.
* Prepare and assist in the development of Emergency Action Plans (EAP).
* Be familiar with the use and maintenance of common fill devices.
* Coordinate with COMSEC account managers.
* Maintain 100% accountability for COMSEC material.
* Act as the liaison between the field locations and COMSEC Staff office
* Provide and enforce COMSEC Policy
* Review and validate requests for COMSEC requirements Qualifications * Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
* 5+ years of relevant Information Assurance (IA) experience.
* Willingness to attend KMI training. Preferred Qualifications * COMSEC experience and completion of the COMSEC Account Manager Course. * Must have working knowledge with space and terrestrial COMSEC equipment and current relevant experience with iApp.
* Familiarity with Controlling Authority responsibilities and be able to manage operational priorities in a dynamic environment. * Comfortability in mixed Military/Govt. civilian/Contractor work environment and interacting daily with DoD, and various COMSEC Accounts.
