Quality Control Inspector – 1st shift

SummaryPerforming all inspection activities including Receiving Inspection, First Article, In-process, and Final inspections to ensure final product meets all Company and Customer requirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.Have an understanding on basic gages including but not limited to gauge pins, gage blocks, thread gauges, thread rings, inside and outside micrometers, calipers, bore gages, Mueller gages, drop indicators, dial indicators, surface plates and height stands.Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of inspection methods, process control plan, and records.Inspect products per established Inspection Plans.Documenting measurement data to electronic database or written Inspection PlansOperating CMM, Vision Systems.Communicate measurement data back Manufacturing, provide assistances to trouble shoot out of specs condition during First Article or In-Process InspectionPerform Final Inspection with accurate data collection.Ensure accurate and timely data entry into Enterprise Resource Planning system.Utilize Statistical Process Control software to analyzed measurement data.Perform Gage R, Process capability study and other MSA activity related to new product development programs.Ensuring inspection programs are up to date with revision.Create paperwork required to complete inspection operation including Certificate of Compliance, producing certifications, inspection records to full fill customer documentation requirement, and following guidelines of internal documentation, records keeping.Multi-task and reorganize workload effectively and respond with the appropriate sense of urgency to meet deadlines as directed.Education and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent.2 years education in related field plus 3 years’ experience or 5 years’ experience in field.Strong math background.Strong attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skills.Highly sufficient in blueprint reading & GDTight tolerance inspection experience in the medical device/aerospace manufacturing industry.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently with little or no supervision, demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgencyPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed.

The ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk and hear is frequently required.

Lifting up to 40 pounds is required.
